Dear Dr Ski
Just a quickie before I board the plane, I am going skiing in Japan with two friends (photo sent under separate cover) and I don't want to look the 'odd man out'. As you will see from the picture I have picked up one or two bargains on the internet and feel that I am almost there, the white suit, the matching boots but do I stick with the silver helmet - hey what do you think of the funky goggles? - or do I go for the golden helm and belt to match?
Don't pull any punches

Dear JB
I'm not sure you are addressing your enquiry to the right person, I am no fashion advisor, my tastes tend to be based on technical skiing requirements rather than hair colour and whether my boot clips match my earrings. Having said that I am aware that the Japanese tend to dress more like the Imperial Guard in Star Wars than any skier I've ever seen and you have certainly carried that theme into your outfit, proof positive of the cheap bargains available on these Internet Retro Sites. Just a word to the wise, not that it is any of my business, but I don't like the look of the rest of the crew, should a respectable married man with a family be advertising the fact that he is spending his hols with a mysterious single fellow from the Foreign Office and a middle aged Finnish barkeeper with a dodgy hairdo, does the word 'Honeytrap' ring any bells.
Watch your back
Doctor Ski
