Dear Doctor Ski
No doubt you will remember that me and my old university chums have been working on a formula to determine skiing ability and that the field trials were scheduled to take place in early December. Unfortunately things have not gone according to plan and despite having two bites at the cherry we have run into unexpected difficulties, in short, despite all our degrees, we simply cannot remember who drank what the following morning. Any suggestions?

I fully understand the difficulties you have experienced, I did make an experiment of my own which involved drinking 10 pints of Guinness, various shots and then after just three hours sleep I took to the slopes. I might well have ended up in the bed next to Simon if it hadn't been for the soft landing provided by an elderly snowplougher and a family of four, perhaps this was an omen and we should call a halt to further attempts?
