Dear Doctor Ski
I occasionally ski with Timo and I know he likes nothing better than to jump off things. I am not very skilled in the art but I know you are experienced in cornice-jumping. Are there any tips you could pass on? In particular I am not sure how to land correctly. Any hints and tips would be useful.
Thanks in advance
Helmut Brokken
Dear Brokken or may I call you Helmut?
I am, of course, aware of the 'Flying Dutchman' but as I understand it he is yet to master the full swallow dive with head pivot and front sommersault in the piked position, if you would like to witness a demonstration of this particularly difficult leap I can arrange for you to come along to one of our 'Stunt Clinics'. You will be required to wear full protective clothing with integral back support and 'Tackle Guard' and it goes without saying that you would be expected to remove your hairpiece and wear a suitable helmet. Just drop us a mail if you want to take part and we will add your name to the list of idiots............................ Stunt Skiers who are desperate to give it a try.
Yours in anticipation
Dr. Ski
